Viking bay, go in the snow caves with the ice sickles, plenty of oil nodes in there and around these entrances. also on the back side of this same mountain on the canyon side, there is another entrance to a cave full of oil nodes. Pumps are all locked on my server, never been a problem keeping oil stocked hitting these spots.

Oil Veins must have an Oil Pump placed on top of it to produce Oil. Once a pump is placed, it will produce 1 unit of Oil inside the inventory of the pump every 20 seconds. south central just off the peninsula with the rock pool theres a ledge in the ocean, not deep usually spawns 6-10 oil rocks, plus its in the south so not many carnovores other than dilo's and good temperature :)
Dear Wildcard, Please fix the oil veins on Ragnarok, or add some more that players are actually able to place oil pumps on. I've found 4 so far that for some reason an oil pump cannot be placed on. Seriously, wtf is the point of oil veins that are unusable? Any that can have a pump placed have already been claimed, and most people keep their pumps locked up :( In Vikings bay there is a spot on the east side in the shallow water that has oil. Also in the snow above VB there is a spot that has room for 3 oil rigs. Best sea mount would have to be the Plesiosaur. But onto your actual question, where to find oil, oil spots can be found all over the map, I would link a picture but I cant seem to find one, I think oil is more common the farther north you go.
